Privacy policy

How we collect, use and look after personal data when you visit this website, contact us, or use the NeuralClean platform.

Who we are

NeuralClean is a product of NeuralSignal Corporation Limited (“NeuralSignal”, “we”, “us”), registered in England and Wales with company number 17010655, whose registered office is at Flat 59 Rivermead House, Homerton Road, London E9 5QT. For the personal data described in this policy as ours, we are the controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You can reach us at hello@neuralclean.co.uk.

When you visit this website

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and it loads nothing from other companies: its fonts and images come from our own server.

If you choose light or dark mode with the switch at the top of the page, that choice is kept in your own browser so the site remembers it. It is never sent to us.

Like any web server, ours briefly records technical details of each request (such as the address of the device asking and the page requested) to keep the service running and secure. These records are kept for a short period and are not used to identify visitors.

When you contact us or ask for a quote

When you send the form on our contact page, we receive your name, your school or organisation, your email address, and, if you give them, your telephone number, the number of buildings you look after and your message.

  • Why: to reply to you, to prepare a quote or arrange a demo you asked for, and to keep a record of what we discussed.
  • Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our services, and, where you ask for a quote, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • Protecting the form: to stop automated abuse we limit how many requests one connection can send in an hour. We do this with a one-way coded value made from your device’s network address; we never store the address itself.
  • How long: enquiries are deleted automatically two years after we receive them, unless you become a customer, when what we need is kept under our agreement with you.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell them.

When you use the NeuralClean platform

The NeuralClean apps and portals are used by cleaning companies, their staff, and the schools and organisations they clean for. That data (for example staff records, visits, photographs taken during cleaning, timesheets and reports) is handled under the agreement between NeuralSignal and the organisation using the platform. In most cases that organisation is the controller and we process the data on its behalf and on its instructions. If you use the platform through your employer or your school, they can tell you more about how your data is used, and you can also contact us.

Location. The Cleaner app uses the phone’s location only while a cleaner is clocked in for a shift: when they check in and check out, so the visit can be checked against the site’s clock-in area, and during the shift, so their supervisor can see where the team is and arrange cover. Positions taken outside a shift are discarded by our server, shift locations are deleted after 30 days, and schools never see anyone’s location. The phone asks the cleaner for permission first.

The platform is designed to keep data to what each person needs. For example, school logins do not see staff personnel records, safeguarding concerns can be opened only by the designated safeguarding lead and administrators, and bank details are stored encrypted.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted providers to run our services, mainly our hosting provider, Hostinger, whose servers store the data. Providers act only on our instructions and under written agreements that require them to protect it. We share data with others only where the law requires it, for example with the police or a regulator.

Where data is stored

Our servers may be located outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How we protect it

All traffic to our website, portals and apps is encrypted. Access to data is limited by role, sign-ins are protected against repeated guessing, and sensitive fields are encrypted when stored.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. To use any of these rights, email hello@neuralclean.co.uk. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or 0303 123 1113.
